Mark Alan Settlemoir, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 20, 2025 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born to Carl Oran Settlemoir and Leona Frances Martin, on September 4, 1961 in Paragould, Arkansas.
Mark was preceeded in death by his parents and his three siblings: Donnie Ray, Carletta Flo, and Gary Dwayne.
Mark is survived by his wife Belinda Johnson Settlemoir, and his cherished children: Brandon Vann Settlemoir and wife Tonya; Brooke Marann Jennings and Doug Schaupp; Brittany Oriana Settlemoir and husband Antonio Castañeda; Mark Taylor Settlemoir and wife Destiney; and Jennifer Smallwood and Brian Sparks. Six precious grandchildren; Hunter, William, Carl, Austin, Penelope, Kasey, Bailey, and Jasper. One great-grandbaby Briley, and his fur grandbaby Frito. His brother Michael Ruben Settlemoir, nephew Eric Layne, and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Mark's devotion and quiet strength were evident in the way he lived each day. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University, where he also played baseball. Later in life Mark worked as an independent insurance salesman helping grow his agency, Settlemoir & Tate, LLC.
Mark was an avid sports enthusiast loving golf and pool. Racquetball held a special place in this heart, competing in and winning championships with the same passion and determination he brought to every endeavor. He was well-known for his sharp humor, and the effortless way he could brighten a room.
Above all, Mark was a loving father, an amazing husband, a devoted grandfather and a compassionate friend. His family was truly the heartbeat of his world.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
