Mark Silverston Obituary
Mark was born in Romania on March 24, 1991. On December 1, 1995, he was adopted by David and Pamela Silverston and on December 6, 1995, he was brought to his loving home in the United States. Mark was known for his charisma, charming everyone into fits of laughter. He had a deep love for his family, watching the travel and history channels, going to the movies, and asking "Where are we going to eat?" His all-time favorite was Portillo's.
Mark is survived by his loving parents Dave and Pam Silverston, grandparents Roger and Aida Guidice, aunts and uncle, Joyce Guidice, Karen Guidice, Barb Lucas, Ron and Lisa Guidice, and cousins Erik (Yasuko) Simmons, Brian (Jana and child Ben) Simmons, Laura (Frank and children Nonda and Evangeline) Harris, Vicki (Sarah) Paul, Ryan, Ronnie, and Robbie Guidice.
Mark is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jack and Audrey Silverston, maternal grandmother Charlotte Guidice, uncles and aunt Ron Silverston, Marilyn Simmons, Richard Guidice, and Godfather Jim Lucas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Rd., Niles, from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. A service will be held at 7:15 P.M. Cremation will follow privately. In lieu of flowers donations to Kenneth Young Center, 1001 Rohlwing Rd., Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 (kennethyoung.org) or Smart Recovery, Group #3761, (smartrecovery.org) would be appreciated.
At a later date a Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edna Catholic Church, in Arlington Heights. Inurnment location is pending.
