Mark Edward Slaughter, age 64, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in Grapevine, Texas. He was born October 9, 1960 in Oceanside, California to Dale and Patricia (McCurley) Slaughter. After graduating High School, Mark attended West Ark College and held a successful career as a general laborer. In the late '70s, Mark enrolled in the United States Military, and he proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. "With a deep passion for auctions, Mark loved the excitement of buying and selling, always on the hunt for hidden treasures and sharing his enthusiasm for the auction world with those around him. He will be remembered as a giving and helpful man, who would always lend a hand to anyone in need.
Mark is survived by his mother, Patricia Slaughter of Alma, Arkansas; two children, Cobra Harris and husband Aumier; and Omid Seyed-Sadr and wife Courtney; eight grandchildren, Haven, Aayden, Zahryn, Keelie, Cadence, Jayla, Agape, and Brooklyn; his siblings, Debra Weickgenant and husband Matt; David Slaughter and wife Stacey; and Steve Slaughter; along with many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Slaughter; and his grandparents, Ray and Gen McCurley.
A Committal Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, located 522 Garland Ave in Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
