Mark Edward Streets, born on December 19, 1955, in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at the age of 69.
Mark was the beloved son of Thomas Robert Streets and Margie Lee Breeden. Raised in Oklahoma City, he later made his home in
Moore, Oklahoma. A gifted musician, Mark mastered numerous instruments but held a special love for his Conklin 7-string bass. He played with remarkable skill and passion, performing in bands throughout his teens and twenties. While he cherished music-particularly old country, fusion jazz, and bluegrass-he eventually left the club scene to pursue a career as a contractor alongside his brother, Tom.
At age 36, Mark met Dana, the love of his life. They were married for nearly 32 years and built a life together both personally and professionally. Mark established a successful sole proprietorship specializing in windows and siding installation, where his perfectionism shone through in every detail. Dana managed the administrative side of the business, making them a true team.
Music remained an integral part of Mark's life. He led worship music at church and enjoyed playing at outdoor venues and restaurants simply for the joy it brought him and others. Above all else, Mark loved his family deeply and found immense joy in being a grandfather.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife Dana; his daughter Shanna Streets-Covey and her family; his stepson Jared Sollars and his family; siblings Robert Streets, Tom Streets, and Janis Mollman along with their families; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, church family, friends, and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Mark's life will be held on January 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral and Cremation, 400 SE 19th St.,
Moore, OK.
Mark's larger-than-life presence and enduring love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
