Mark served as the Navy Chief of Chaplains at the same time I served as the Army Chief of Chaplains . Mark was a tremendous leader and friend. We shared briefings to the HASC and survived to laugh about them. Mark was a true man of God who cared and supported his chaplains as they ministered to Sailors, Coast Guardsmen and Marines. May he rest in peace and be welcomed into The Kingdom.

Chaplain Tidd was an exceptional Chief of Chaplains. I was privileged to serve as his legal advisor during some very challenging times for the Chaplain Corps. He was firmly grounded in and motivated by his faith in God and the best interests of his Chaplains and the Navy. Even as we mourn Chaplain Tidd's passing and grieve for his family, we rejoice that he is now face to face with his Savior.

My deepest condolences to Jennifer, their children and grandchildren, and Kurt and his family. My wife Susan and I served with, and were blessed to know Mark & Jennifer. Having lost my dear Susan this past September, I understand the impact of such a loss on the entire family. I hope that you can all take some solace in the fact that he is with his Lord & Savior now, and recall and remember the good life you shared. I will pray that God blesses and provides some peace and comfort for the entire family.

I was saddened to hear of Mark's early death. He was a friend and a mentor to me when we were both instructors at the Naval Chaplain School. My deepest condolences go out to Jennifer and the entire family. May his memory be a blessing for us all.

Anne and I were deeply saddened to hear the unexpected news of Mark´s passing and return home to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. May God continue to shine his perpetual light and face upon him, Margaret and your whole family. It was an honor to serve with Mark. He always made a difference for good and the care of others before himself. A true leader, pastor, Navy man and man of honor and character. God Bless!
