Mark Wallace

Mark Orlando Wallace was born on February 15, 1976, at the University Hospital in Kingston Jamaica to Ivan and Molly Wallace. At the age of five, he migrated with his parents to the USA and resided in Miami, Fl. for several years.

Mark attended Cox Kindergarten . He received his primary education at St. James Catholic School in North Miami. Mark was involved in many extra school activities

such, as safety patrol, student government, and boy scouts. He was an Eagle Scout. After graduating from St. James, Mark went on to Monsignor Edward PACE High

School where he graduated in 1993 with honors. He was a member of the football team, playing the position of defensive tackle.

It was at St. James and Monsignor Edward PACE where Mark met some of his lifelong friends.

In 1990 Mark was accepted and attended Hanover College in Indiana for two years. He returned to South Florida where he attended Miami- Dade College and

Florida International University. Despite his academic experience, Mark's passion was in the Hospitality and Food Service Industry, where he worked for many years.

Mark was a kind, honest, caring, and selfless person who always have a bright smile that would light up any room. He made friends quite easily, loves to spend

time with them and would help them in any ways possible.

At the age of 15, Mark and both his parent got saved and was baptized at the Metropolitan Baptist Church under the leadership of then Pastor Reverend Dr.

Storr. The church was then located at 10401 N W 8 th Ave, Miami. Mark loved sports such as football and basketball. He enjoyed music, cruising, and cooking .

In 2020, Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer. He underwent extensive treatment but he did not get better. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 6,

2026, at Memorial Hospital, Miramar. Mark is lovingly remembered by his parents: Ivan and Molly Wallace, Sister: Valda McDonald (husband Jason) Brothers: Eion and Marco. Many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. (Family friend) Valrie McCleod . Many friends to include Sean, Brandon, Kermit, Roni, and Rob. May his soul rest in peace.
