Dear Donna and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Mark´s passing. He was an extraordinary man whose kindness, loyalty, and steady presence made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. I will always remember his warm smile, his generous spirit, and the genuine way he connected with people.
Mark lived a life defined by service - to his family, to his community, and to his country. His dedication through the Maryland State Police and later the NSA reflected a rare integrity and sense of duty. Yet it was in the moments he shared with friends and loved ones that his true light shone brightest.
I am grateful to have seen him one last time at our class reunion. That moment now feels especially meaningful, and I will hold it close.
I will always picture Mark surrounded by the things he loved most: the rumble of a classic muscle car and the pride he took in the passions that brought him joy throughout his life.
Please know that you are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Mark leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and unwavering devotion - one that will continue to live on in the many lives he touched. I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared and in knowing how deeply he will be missed.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Tom swanger
