On April 14, 2024, Mark Weinand passed away after celebrating his 70 th birthday.
Our Heavenly Father came and wrapped his arms around Mark and said to him SON, it’s time to come HOME!”
Jesus is the way to the Father:
In St. John Chapter 14: 1-6 King James Version

We are told:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many
mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may
be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we
know not whiter thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A graveside service will be held for Mark on May 4, 2024, at 10:00 am Gate of Heaven Cemetery
7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109

Mark so loved our Lord. One of his favorite things to do was talking to people about God and His
word. He loved bringing people closer to knowing our Lord.
Mark was a truck driver for over 50 years. He used to say that by looking through the windshield, its
frame was a way of looking at God’s portraits. It was like having a video of memories in your mind that
would last a lifetime. There weren’t many things that Mark couldn’t do! He went to school to be a
machinist and made prototype parts for Honeywell before he became a truck driver. In his retirement,
he had planned on going back to machining. He loved to make things – parts you couldn’t get
anymore to make things work again. He had a love for tinkering until it was fixed. His grandkids
always said, that “If Papa can’t fix it, No one can.” He cherished that name “PAPA” with all his heart.
He always had a love for children and pets. It takes a special person for every child to want to crawl
up in your lap and want love. This was also true about animals. They would leave their owners and
come up to visit Mark everywhere he went.
One of his other loves was riding his motorcycle. It gave him time to think, ponder over life, and have
a conversation with God. Mark also enjoyed drawing, painting, skiing, hunting, fishing, eating good
food and spending time with family and friends.
Every year, he would take time off from work for a week to make homemade cinnamon rolls for
everyone as a Christmas gift. This was a family tradition, to have cinnamon rolls and sausage
Christmas morning.
Mark carried so many names to many people: A loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle,
Grandfather and Great Grandfather; aka Papa. Last but not least an AWESOME friend to many!
Mark’s family loved him so deeply and cherished every moment with him. He is so very loved.

You will be missed by many, My Love!
Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
Never “Goodbye”, Always “See You Later”!
One lifetime isn’t enough!
See you in Heaven!
