Mark Stewart Whisner, of Richmond, Texas passed away on March 19, 2015 in Sugar Land at the age of 56. He was born on January 29, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Richard and Elizabeth (Field) Whisner, Sr. He enjoyed hobbies including: listening to music - especially at live concerts and cheering on his favorite football team, the West Virginia Mountaineers. He spent many years in Hotel Management later making the move to banking. His career included working for Chase, Texas Commerce Bank, Texas State, and Compass. Mark was the Vice President of Loan Administration with the Amegy Bank of Richmond Texas. Mark was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sabra (Hacker) Whisner; his daughter, Elizabeth Leigh Whisner and fiancé, Taylor Wleczyk; brothers, Richard Eugene Whisner, Jr., George Randolph Whisner and David Scott Whisner; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends and work colleagues. The family will receive guests from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mark's name to MD Anderson Cancer Research for Thyroid cancer. Words of condolence may be left for the family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.
