Mark Whitt

Mark Shands Whitt, 62, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on June 22, 2025. Born on December 14, 1962, Mark was known for his kind-hearted nature and dedication to his family. Mark is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Shana Viveros-Guevara and her spouse Miguel, and Bobby Edmond; his son, Curtis Edmond and his spouse Brittany; and his cherished grandchildren, Ermelinda, Manson, CJ, Rosalinda, Lillyan, Natalee, John, and Joseph He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara Denham. He also left his closest friends, Robert, James, and Allen. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lee Whitt and Billy Gean Whitt, as well as his sister, Sherry Sojourner. Throughout his life, Mark was a devoted father, often expressing his love through daily phone calls to his children and spending quality time with his grandchildren. His commitment to his family was paramount, and he took great pride in supporting and nurturing his loved ones. Mark will be remembered for his unwavering kindness and the joy he brought to those around him. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
