Mark Allen Woods, 55, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on May 31, 2025.
Mark was a God-fearing man who lived his life with strength, integrity, and compassion. He was born in Morristown, Tennessee, to the late Judith A. Beason and Jimmy Woods on October 15, 1969.
He graduated from Durango High School, Class of 1988, and joined the United States Marine Corps the same year, where he served working with ordnance. After his service, he became an over-the-road truck driver and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Later in life, Mark proudly earned his associate's degree and pursued a successful career in aviation as a maintenance controller for a private jet aircraft company. His commitment to personal growth, discipline, and excellence left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Mark was a man of many talents and passions. He was a gifted craftsman who loved working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, hiking, exploring nature, gardening, and bow shooting. In his downtime, he loved listening to Pink Floyd and watching thunderstorms, finding peace and reflection in the rhythm of the rain and the sound of music.
He especially loved spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the beauty of the outdoors. His faith guided him, and his heart for helping others was evident in all he did.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Woods; and grandparents Ralph and Coralee (Johnson) Woods, and Alfred John and Mildred Jeanette Kreuper.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Babita Woods of Ocala, FL; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Narine of Ocala, FL.
He is also survived by his children Brittany Woods, Kasey Woods (Clint), Tayler, and Caspian; stepchildren Misty Potter (Kevin), Marianna Trego Patterson (Alexander), Marlayna Trego (Greg), and Russell Trego; and grandchildren Savanna, Sawyer, Tobias, and Makayla.
He leaves behind his brothers Brian Woods (Michelle) and Trent Woods (Hope); sisters Amy DuPonte, Rachel Killinen (Dustin), and Amanda Woods (Marcus); as well as nieces and nephews: Brandon Woods (Jordan) and Kristin Woods, Travis DuPonte (Ashley) and Jarrett DuPonte (Haylee), Wesley Killinen (Jordan), Wyatt Killinen (Cori), and Katie Killinen, Kingston Williams, and River Woods
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at Roberts Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, Florida with a gathering with the family one hour prior to his service, form 1:00pm to 2:00pm
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS), an organization dedicated to helping veterans heal through innovative mental health treatments.
