Mark Allen Woods, 55, of
Ocala, Florida, passed away on May 31, 2025.
Mark was a God-fearing man who lived his life with strength, integrity, and compassion. He was born in Morristown, Tennessee, to the late Judith A. Beason and Jimmy Woods on October 15, 1969.
He graduated from Durango High School, Class of 1988, and joined the United States Marine Corps the same year, where he served working with ordnance. After his service, he became an over-the-road truck driver and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Later in life, Mark proudly earned his associate's degree and pursued a successful career in aviation as a maintenance controller for a private jet aircraft company. His commitment to personal growth, discipline, and excellence left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Mark was a man of many talents and passions. He was a gifted craftsman who loved working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, hiking, exploring nature, gardening, and bow shooting. In his downtime, he loved listening to Pink Floyd and watching thunderstorms, finding peace and reflection in the rhythm of the rain and the sound of music.
He especially loved spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the beauty of the outdoors. His faith guided him, and his heart for helping others was evident in all he did.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Woods; and grandparents Ralph and Coralee (Johnson) Woods, and Alfred John and Mildred Jeanette Kreuper.
