Mark Wright, the son of Charles and Barbara (Miller) Wright, was born on June 1, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ. He was educated at Suffield Academy (CT), Ripon College (WI), and Columbia University (NY). As a graduate of Columbia Business School with a savvy, entreprenueurial, and financially-driven mind, he spent his career enhancing the performance of large global organizations and small, local businesses. For over 20 years he led Acadia Windows and Doors as the President and CEO, turning the 40-year old, bankrupt company into a thriving local business. After Acadia, he spent the remainder of his career providing small business management consulting advice in Maryland and Minnesota. Mark ran for State Senate, District 18, in 2022. Mark's successful career was accompanied by his love for his family, swimming, and relaxing. He was a soccer coach, backyard sports professional, Lake Dunmore historian and enthusiast, Boy Scout leader, NCAA tournament selection expert, and a US Masters swimmer. At the time of Mark's passing he was once again training for the 4.4 mile Great Chesapeake Bay Swim. He was dedicated to ensuring his children were able to pursue their academic and extra-curricular passions, always supporting and encouraging their pursuits well into adulthood.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wahoske of North Mankato; brother, James Wright of Parrish, Florida; sons, Christopher (Samantha) Wright of Raleigh, NC and Timothy (Carol) Wright of Charlotte, NC; and step son, John (Sarah) Wahoske and their children, Elizabeth and Thomas of Verona, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra White; and step daughter, Jennifer Wahoske.

Dear Marcia and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed catching up with Marcia and Mark at Archibald Lake. I don't think I will ever forget watching in amazement as he swam from one end of the lake to the other. Please take care of yourselves and I will be thinking of you during this difficult time.
