August 20, 2008
Dear Jan and children,
It is hard to believe that in a few days it will be one year since Mark’s earthly life came to a close and the path of grieving began as each one of you as you have been required to “go on living” without Mark. I am sorry for the loss and pain you have all experienced during this last year and previous to Mark’s passing. I applaud you as well for the way you have taken up this new kind of life assignment, trusting and hoping in God each day for the days that He has planned for you. My prayers are for your family today.
Love, Marion

Dear Jan,
I was so very sorry to hear about Mark. I had the privilege of working with Mark at IBM in Rochester and I have many fond memories of working with him. He was a truly caring person and I remember that whenever we spoke about our respective families, his love for you all was there in his face and voice. I hope that the many treasured memories of your life with Mark will be of comfort to you all. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Jan,
I have many happy memories working with Mark on the Mayo Clinic account. As a fellow IBMer I remember his passion for the Twins when they won the world series! He once told me a tale of trimming trees with a chainsaw! I will always remember him for his zest and energy every moment of his life. My thoughts and prayers follow you on this lonesome journey...

Dear Jan and kids....Mark was very special to me when we worked together in Rochester. His energy, attitude, creativity were amazing - and catching! Y'all moved to the Cities and we moved to California, without the opportunity to meet again, much to my sorrow. Mark made a positive difference in so many people's lives and left a footprint on my heart. Some day, knowing he is at peace will replace your heartache.

Jan, My heart hurts for your loss. Meeting you and Mark when I worked for IBM in Rochester in 1984 was such a blessing to me. You were both so lovely, clearly radiating Christ's love to everyone you met. Mark always watched out for me and I was grateful. While I know his faith was very important to him, I know his family was as well. His desk and cabinet had pictures of Teddy all over it when I met him, and then your daughters as you were blessed with them. We will pray for your family. While very comforting to know with assurance where Mark is, I know the time until we get there too will be difficult. I am grateful to have met you both when I did and I thank you for the impact you had on my life. God bless you, Kitty Liebeg (Doyle)

The Wyder Family:
From the day that my Daughter Hannah shared with me about Marks limited time here with his loving family all I could do was pray everytime I thought of him and saw him on the soccer fields. He always had a smile on his face and you can tell he enjoyed watching his girls playing soccer. I will keep you all, in my prayers.
