Marka Jean Lawson of Charleston, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Mercy in Fort Smith. She was born on July 12, 1963, in Modesto, California, to the late Gordon Ingleston and Florence (Avey) Ingleston. She was 62 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Randy Lawson.
Marka worked for Hilton Hotel in Fort Smith and was of Christian faith.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lawson; a daughter, Melissa Ramos and husband Junior of Fort Smith; two sons, Donald Lawson and wife Lisa of Sheridan, Oregon and Paul Lawson and wife Alicia of Charleston; two sisters, Megan Renfro-Upton and husband Carl of Lavaca and Donna Reich and husband Gary of Vernalis, California; a brother, Marshall Ingleston of Modesto, California; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
