Markus Bacha

Martinez, GA - Markus Bacha, 43, entered into rest Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his home, with his loving parents at his side. Markus was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Markus was born on April 19, 1981 in Ansbach, Germany. He resided most of his life in Augusta, Ga and graduated from Westside High School. He went on to what was then Augusta State University, where he completed a double major in English and History. In 2008, he went to work for Augusta University and started off in various enrollment management divisions, Admissions, Registrar's Office and Financial Aid. For the last six and a half years he worked for the Cyber Institute, which morphed into the School of Computer and Cyper Sciences. He was an avid reader and loved to watch all kinds of movies. Ratatouille was his favorite Pixar movie. He was also a food enthusiast, music lover and had a great sense of humor. 

He is survived by his parents, John J Bacha Jr and Rosi Bacha. His aunt Barbara J (Mark) Leone of Boardman, Ohio. His uncle Hans (Brigitte) Eberle, aunt Anny Gnahm, aunt Marianne Mantz, aunt Christa Christl, uncle Peter (Brigitte) Eberle, all of Germany, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John J Bacha Sr and Mary J Bacha and his maternal grandparents, Hans Florian Eberle and Franziska Eberle. 

We would like to thank AO Multispecialty Clinic for their excellent care they provided to our son and Enhabit Hospice for their compassion and guidance during this very difficult time. 

There will be no service at this time.
