Marlee Ann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel - Grand Ledge on Mar. 10, 2026.
Marlee Ann Force, a cherished soul whose laughter and love were as radiant as the morning sun, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Lansing, MI, on March 8, 2026. Born on June 19, 2015, to her devoted parents Desiree Perez and Kyle Force, Marlee's life was a brilliant spark that, though it shone for a short time, illuminated the lives of all who knew her.

Marlee attended Winans Elementary School in the Waverly school district, where she was known as a bright and enthusiastic fourth-grader. Her teachers and classmates will remember her for her eagerness to learn and her ability to spread happiness within the classroom walls.

Among Marlee's many passions, she shone brightly as a Flyer on her cheerleading team, her agility and enthusiasm lifting the spirits of all who watched her perform. Her love for cooking was evident in the joy she found creating meals and treats for her family, often leaving a sprinkle of sugar and laughter in her wake.

Music was a constant in Marlee's life. She was affectionately known as the "K Pop Queen," her love for the genre echoing through her dance moves and song choices. She was a girly girl who adored dressing up, but she was also fearless, never shying away from a chance to play in the mud or embark on an adventurous bike ride.

Animals held a special place in Marlee's heart. Her compassion for all creatures was a testament to her boundless love and caring nature. She approached life with a unique blend of sweetness and intelligence, her curiosity and wit leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marlee is survived by her loving parents, Desiree Perez and Kyle Force. She was the treasured sister to Mariana Force and Mylee Walker, and their bond was filled with endless laughter and shared secrets. Marlee's grandparents, Melissa (Joe) Morales, Dave (Lori) Force, and Holly Harsuff, doted on her endlessly, and her memory will forever be etched in their hearts. She was adored by her aunts and uncles: Justin (Christina) Force, Chris (Jessica) Force, Nick (Kristyn) Force, Nate (Alex) Smith, Hidee Force, Makayla Schmidt, Danielle Perez, Joe Morales, Ashley Morales, and Jeannie Walker, all of whom will miss her infectious giggle and her warm embraces.

Marlee's life was a tapestry woven with numerous beloved cousins, friends, and family members, each thread representing the love and laughter she shared with them. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Daniel Perez, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, 301 E. Jefferson, Grand Ledge, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A visitation will also be held Friday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
