Marlene Annerino Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Central Chapel Funeral & Cremation Southwest on Jan. 27, 2026.
Marlene A. Annerino (Garcia) 69, longtime resident of Chicago's southside, Clearing neighborhood, passed away January 24, 2026. Devoted wife of Walter Annerino; also survived by numerous dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents Adolfo and Rose Garcia (LaMantia); and siblings Raymond (late Rosemary) Garcia and Robert (Jo Ann) Garcia.
Marlene was devoted to her catholic faith and attended St. Symphorosa Church, where she found comfort, connection, and purpose. Her kindness extended to all creatures, especially the many dogs she adored throughout her life. Her love for animals was a defining part of who she was-patient, nurturing, and endlessly compassionate.
Marlene had a natural talent for crafts, often creating handmade pieces that reflected her creativity and care. Whether she was decorating, or making a new project, she poured her heart into everything she made. She also enjoyed shopping, finding delight in discovering thoughtful gifts for others or simply treating herself to small joys. Those who knew Marlene will remember her warmth, her humor, and her unwavering generosity.
Her presence made gatherings brighter, and her absence will be deeply felt.
The family will receive friends at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL 60638 on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until chapel prayers at 10:15 a.m. to ST. SYMPHOROSA CHURCH, 6125 S. Austin Ave, Chicago for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation following in accordance with her wishes.
