I just learned of Marlenes passing. We were friends in High School and for many years after that. She was a good person and a kind soul. She will be missed.

Dear Nelson,
I am so sorry Marlene lost her battle with her cancer. The last time we spoke you guys just moved out of meridian blvd. I know my mom loved living next to Marlene and enjoyed her company. Hopefully they are together again catching up. Marlene was such a kind, thoughtful, and amazing person. Sending love and light .

Nelson and family,
I was saddened to learn of Marlene's passing, having just heard her over a phone call with Nelson and her last Friday, seeming medically more stable.
Her remarkable courage through difficult cancer recurrences, her career educator work so important to the society, and her reliable presence at Nelson's side at so many of his office visits are all things I will remember about Marlene.
I am happy for the privilege of knowing her and regret that I was unable to attend this morning.
Fond regards and sympathies, Mitchell Cohen

I have a memory of Marlene on the night she got married. How beautiful she looked, in her beautiful black cocktail dress and her gorgeous hair, she looked so happy and content. I will always remember that photo of her with her contagious energy. It´s nice to think Marlene got the chances to go have her Israel summers 8 times, I remember her telling me once. I will always think of Marlene as our mothers favorite flower girl.

Marlene was an amazing friend to my mom for many years. She was always so sweet to me through the years. Marlene and Nelson were the best couple. I'm happy that John and I had the chance to spend time with both of you last October . We will miss you. Love you Marlene.
Love Always,
