Marlene Baugh Obituary

Marlene Baugh, 79, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 21, 1946, Marlene was the daughter of Ruby and Eddie Greenan, proud natives of Scotland and Ireland. She grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, alongside her sister, Patricia, in a household that taught resilience, integrity and hard work. After graduating from Academy of Holy Names, Marlene married her high school sweetheart and lifelong love, Randall “Randy” Baugh. Together they built a beautiful life in Great Falls, Virginia, where their world revolved around their two adored children, Edward Joseph “Ted” Baugh and Heather Dawn Baugh.

Marlene was a true force in Northern Virginia real estate, working for Long & Foster for 46 years. A top-producing Realtor & Associate Broker known for her integrity, tireless work ethic, and genuine care for clients, she built more than a business—she built a community.

Once empty-nesters, Marlene and Randy moved to River Creek in Leesburg, Virginia, where she once again put her sales savvy to work—this time persuading several of her closest friends to join them in the neighborhood she loved so much. Wherever Marlene went, friendships flourished.

Over the years, she led a successful family real estate team that, at various times, included her husband Randy, her sister Pat Sellers, her nieces Katy Prime and Scotti Sellers, her son Ted, her daughter-in-law Stephanie Baugh, and several others who became like family. Her mentorship, leadership, and warmth left a lasting mark on colleagues and clients alike.

In retirement, Marlene’s greatest joy came from her role as “MarMar.” Her life centered around her treasured grandchildren—Ella, Sammy, and Tyler Baugh, and Reece and Wyatt Magill. She delighted in every milestone, every gathering, and every opportunity to shower them with love.

In 2023, Marlene’s heart was broken by the loss of her beloved Randy. Soon after, her health began to decline. In a beautiful act of devotion, Ted and Stephanie moved her to St. John’s, Florida, where they lovingly cared for her in their home.

Surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and extended family (to include nephew-in-law Ben Prime, as well as great nephew Lochlan Prime, and great niece Sophie Hudziak), Marlene was embraced with the same unwavering love she had so freely given throughout her life.

Marlene will be remembered for her kindness, gift of gab, and her extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. She touched countless lives, not only through her professional accomplishments, but through the genuine warmth and joy she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the community she built, and the love she so generously shared.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Foundation of Community Hospice and Palliative Care or any hospice organization of choice
