To: The Dungee and Brown Families
In this time of grief I pray that you will find comfort in your memories. My memory of Marlene goes back to 1957, when we were first grade classmates and best friends. I think that we joined church at the same time, and song in the Youth Choir at Second Mt. Olive Baptist. I remember Marlene always being excited about singing praises for the Lord. Marlene was one of the lead vocalist, my favorite song that I remember her singing was "We Are Soldier In The Army". She was truely one of God's soldiers. Marlene fought a good fight, and I believe that she had her hands on the gospel plow. I know that we wanted here to stay here and fight anyhow, but God knew that it was time for her to rest.
Rest In Peace My Friend!
