Marlene Chamberland Obituary
Marlene was a strong independent woman who kept her last name after marriage at a time when it was unusual, but traditional enough to be a stay-at-home mom to dedicate her time to raising her children.
She studied in Salzburg, Austria for a year while in college, returning to Austria for multiple reunions. While there she developed a love of Schnitzel, Salzburger Nockerl, and travel.
She loved to knit, and particularly enjoyed making baby blankets. She also made many shawls for the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Huberts church.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 10 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM followed by a short service at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 West Golf Road, Schaumburg.
