Marlene Charlton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Funeral & Cremation Services and Cemetery - North Olmsted on Mar. 16, 2026.
Marlene Marie Charlton, 73, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2026. Born on October 31, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Maund.

Marlene was the beloved wife of 53 years to Chris Charlton, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion. She is survived by her sister Marilyn (Tom) Kemmett; her sisters in law Janice Maund, Robbie Maund, Susie Charlton, and Connie Charlton; her brother-in-law Ray Kinzer. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jack Maund, Patrick Maund, and Danny Maund; her sister-in-law Lisa Kinzer; and her brothers-in-law Mark Charlton and David Charlton. Marlene is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Marlene built a long and successful career as a manager with AT&T, where she was respected for her leadership, reliability, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she was known for her vibrant, social spirit-someone who surrounded herself with friends and created meaningful connections wherever she went.

In keeping with her generous heart, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Marlene's memory.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 29, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Arturo's, 26679 BrookPark Rd Ext, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
