Palmdale - Beloved mother and minister went home to be with The Lord. Survived by her husband Gustavo Delgado Sr; children Mitzy and Jeremy Fox, Gustavo Jr. and Sandra Delgado and Karem Delgado, grandchildren Jeremy, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Gabriela and Levi. Services at Eternal Valley in Newhall, to be announced.

My husband, Oscar and I had the privilege of not only having Pastora Marlene as our pastor but as a mentor, leader and worship partner. She was always so loving and warm with her big hugs and kisses. Always looking beautiful, glamorous and ready to worship the Lord. She took our family in with arms wide open and we had the pleasure of having intimate dinners with her and her husband, Pastor Gustavo along with multiple worship practices at church. We took them to Olive Garden for their anniversary and really enjoyed their company, wisdom and laughs. We enjoyed having them over for dinner at home and especially when she shared stories from back home when she was a little girl. We will miss her beautiful smile and her loving ways. I know she was like a mom to my mom and I love her for that too. Gracias Pastora Marlene por todas sus oraciones por mi familia, por amarnos, aceptarnos y por ser un gran ejemplo. Marlene was a wonderful friend to me. She was also a prayer warrior and prayed for all of us even when she was physically sick and in pain. She taught us to keep on praying till God answered. We shared a special bond in that we both had the same grandchildren and we celebrated every birthday, awards,every accomplishment that Jeremy Caleb and Gaby had, together. We loved the fact that we both agreed that God gave us the best grandkids ever born! We will always have her in our hearts-she made a big impact on us all. I see her in my minds eye locking arms with my own mama in heaven just praising God and being in His presence. She left a legacy of love to her family and so many others. So grateful we had the privilege of having her in our lives.

Le doy gracias a nuestro amado Dios por darme la oportunidad y el privilegio de conocer a Marlene Delgado como mi pastora. Han sido 16 años de compartir primeramente la palabra de Dios, cosas diarias de la vida, cosas familiares y personales con ella y su esposo, pastor Gustavo Delgado. Ella siempre amable y disponible para orar, hablar, aconsejar y ayunar en todo momento que fuera necesario. Ella usaba siempre estas armas para ayudarnos y enseñarnos a combatir al enemigo, no sólo a mi o mi familia sino que a todo miembro de la iglesia o cualquier persona que la conocía, porque era una persona que amaba y vivía para Dios. Una mujer de mucha fe, inteligente, mucho conocimiento y memoria de la palabra de Dios y mucha sabiduría. Estas virtudes que nuestro Padre Celestial le dió y ella las hizo más hermosas. Para mi fue y es un gran ejemplo de cómo debemos vivir y predicar la preciosa palabra de nuestro Creador. También, mi querida pastora me recordaba mucho a mi país porque sólo mi familia y amistades de allí, me llamaban "Eli" así cómo ella lo hacía aquí, y era la única y eso lo voy a extrañar mucho. Es muy triste perder a un ser muy amado, así como ella, pero por fe y su gran testimonio como una hija del Gran Yo Soy, se que está ante su magnífica presencia, y esa es la recompensa y la meta de toda persona que busca, conoce y sigue su camino. Así que ella nos puede decir: "Lo logré" y así nuestro dolor se convierte en alegría espiritual. Alabado sea Dios por habérnosla prestado para bendición de nuestras vidas y para que permanezca en nuestro corazón por siempre. Mis condolencias a nuestro pastor Gustavo, familia Fox, Karencita y a la familia de Gustavo Jr. Mis oraciones y cariño por cada uno de ustedes permanecen hoy y siempre. Sea Dios bendiciendo y fortaleciendo física y espiritualmente a toda la familia. Los quiero mucho.

Mi pastora linda. Me acuerdo cuando conocí a la pastora, ella me recibió con su inmenso amor genuino. Mi pastora Marlene siempre será un ejemplo para para mi porque ella alumbraba del amor de nuestro Dios. Ella es un gran ejemplo de cómo una mujer de fé debe de vivir su vida. Le doy gracias a Dios por darme la oportunidad de convivir con mi pastora Marlene. Y para la familia le pido a mi Dios que les provea La Paz que el solo puede dar. Los queremos.

I had the pleasure of knowing the pastora Marlene for most of my life. She has always prayed for my family and I and has always looked out for us. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her warm hugs. She always made sure I was doing good and always checked up on me. She was such a beautiful and caring soul. God definitely gained a beautiful angel. I will always remember her wise words and big bright smile. She had a smile that would light up the room as soon as she walked in. She may not be with us anymore but I know she´s with God and not suffering anymore. I am deeply saddened by her loss but knowing she´s in a better place gives my family and I peace. I will always remember those beautiful memories I cherished with her. May God continue to bless the Delgado and Fox family. I love you guys dearly & May she rest in peace.

I had the privilege of getting to meet and know Pastora Marlene and I am so grateful to our Heavenly Father for that opportunity. She was always so kind, so sweet and full of love. God´s love shined right through her. Always willing to help, even when she was going through tough times emotionally and physically, she had the strength and faith to pray for others needs. I genuinely loved, appreciated and cared so much for her. So sweet, I have nothing but great things to say about her. So wise, her family was truly blessed. I am deeply saddened, a loss for us here on earth but a great gain for her. God bless her family, may He bless you all with His peace that surpasses ALL understanding. Unfortunately I have no pictures of myself with her but I carry those memories in my heart. I send you all my love, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
