Marlene Fosback Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory - Colville on May 17, 2024.
In Loving Memory
of
Marlene Mary Fosback
Mrs. Marlene Mary Fosback, age 81 years, entered into rest May 6, 2024. Marlene was born October 31, 1942 to Percy and Claire (Heslope) McAuley. She was the only girl in a family of 4 children.
In 1972, while at King Coles, Marlene would dance with Raymond Fosback. The two began dating and in 1974 would marry. They honeymooned at State Line, ID. The couple would celebrate 50 years together.
As their family began to grow, Marlene would find joy in being a stay-at-home mom. The children knew that Mom was "The Boss." She was known as a hard worker by those who knew her. Marlene was an excellent cook – regularly making homemade meatballs, chicken chow mein, bread, and cinnamon rolls to the delight of her family. She served as the President of PTA during this time as well.
When Jeremy and Alanna reached school age, Marlene would begin working outside of the home. She would spend 25 years as a Title I Para Ed for the Kettle Falls School District. She loved the children and they loved her. She found great joy every day she was working at the school.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Claire (Heslope) McAuley and brother, George McCauley. She is survived by her brothers, Glen McAuley and Wayne McAuley of Trail, BC, Canada; her husband, Raymond Fosback at the family home in Kettle Falls, son, Jeremy Fosback, daughter, Alanna Fosback of Roseville, CA, and 1 grandson.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
Please visit the online memorial website and sign her guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com. Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with her care.
