HARDY (Cressman), Marlene Isabell

Marlene Isabell Hardy entered eternal life December 13, 2025. Born in Waterloo, ON, Canada, April 24, 1942, she was a graduate of the Ontario Teachers College and Waterloo Lutheran University. She met her future husband, David, when he was a pastoral intern at her home church in Waterloo. In their 54 years of marriage, she supported his ministries within the ELCiC and the ELCA, the last 28 being at St.Matthew Lutheran of Atlanta/Living Grace Lutheran of Tucker. Places lived include St. John's, Nl, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and Winnipeg, MB, all in Canada. In 2012, she proudly became a US citizen. She did remain an unwavering fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and became an avid fan of the Atlanta Hawks (except when playing the Toronto Raptors.)

Marlene is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, the Rev. David E Hardy, of Lawrenceville, GA; children, Allison Combee (James), of Winder, GA; Kathryn Castro, of Fargo, ND; Matthew (Jodie), of Richmond Hill, GA; Michael Hardy, of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron, and Jonathan Combee, Sophia and Jaxxon Hardy; sister-in-law, Mary Cressman, of Waterloo, ON; nieces, Marianne Schwartz (Trent, William and Grant) and Elissa Cressman, all of Ontario. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Anne Cressman; and her brother, William Cressman.

A funeral service will be held at Living Grace Lutheran Church, Tucker, GA, on December 29, 2025, 2:00 PM. A visitation time with the family will commence at 1:00. Rather than flowers, a gift to the Living Grace Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
