Marlene Louise McLeod, age 92, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on November 30, 2025, at the Ball Hospice House of the EUP. She was born on April 17, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, to William and Margaret (Fournier) Reddig.

Marlene graduated from Romulus High School. She met Charles McLeod, and they married in 1953. Marlene was a proud mother and dedicated homemaker who poured her heart into raising her children. Once they were grown, she continued her life of service and hard work by cooking at the Cozy Corners, a restaurant she and her husband ran together. After twelve years there, she went on to work at Das Gift Haus for a decade before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, acquiring collectibles and going to lunch with friends.

Marlene is survived by her sons, Darrell McLeod of Sault Ste. Marie, Jeff McLeod of Barbeau, Michigan, and Gary (Nancy) of Sault Ste. Marie; son-in-law, Steve Ware of Barbeau; grandchildren, Joshua Ware, Evonne (Aaron) LaCrosse, Jason (Jessica Zastrow) McLeod, Ryan (Jaqueline) McLeod, Krista (David) Israel, and Lucas (Janelle) McLeod; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Zach, Liam, Shaye, Jayden, Evan, Sebastian, Cullen, Colton, Lilah, Easton, Ellie, Levi, Autumn, and Miila; and great-great-granddaughter, Harmony.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McLeod; daughter, Diane Ware; parents, William and Margaret.

Per Marlene's request there will be no service.

A private graveside service has been held at Marlene's final resting place Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township.
