NEVALA (Richter)
Marlene Ann, 86, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at her home on December 29, 2024. Marlene was a woman of great passion and devotion. She had an enduring love for playing the piano, and an enthusiastic interest in genealogy, where she spent countless hours uncovering her family’s history.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Helen (Segren) Richter, her son, Jimmy Nevala (Katie), and granddaughter Katherine Meyer. Marlene will be deeply missed by her daughter, Eleanor Meyer; grandchildren, Ashley Nevala (Aaron Welter), Tyler Nevala, Kristy Wert (Ethan), and Maddy Meyer (Carter Knutson); her siblings, Leonard Richter, Carolyn Scheler, and Elaine Rezek (Bill); as well as many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.
In accordance with Marlene's wishes, private family services will be held. A Celebration of Life is being planned for spring 2025.
Memorials may be directed to Jobs Daughters International, an organization she held in great esteem.
Marlene’s legacy of love for family, music, and history will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
