Marlene Rauch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory on Mar. 16, 2026.
Marlene Rauch, age 90, passed on Friday, March 13, 2026.

She was born on November 29th, 1935, in Beecher, Illinois. The daughter of the late Martin and Edna Firnhaber. Marlene Rauch graduated from Beecher High School, Class of 1953. Following graduation she married Lloyd Rauch on February 13, 1955.

Marlene's life passion was caring for and raising their 4 sons. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her boys and cooking for the family. She helped ensure her boys made it to all their sporting events and she was there to support them whenever she could. During this time, she also worked different jobs to help support the family. She was a substitute teacher, worked at a retail sewing shop, and was a server at the local café. She also spent a lot of time volunteering at the local Lutheran church.

Marlene spent many summers in Michigan and enjoyed water skiing, boating, tennis, golf, and pickle ball. She also loved to play games; she enjoyed Bingo, Yahtzee, and Wii bowling, but her specialty was playing any kind of card game. She was nearly impossible to beat at almost any card game you could teach here. When she got that smirk on her face, you pretty much knew the game was over.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a brother, Dennis Firnhaber.

Surviving family members are son Duane and his wife Julee (Genovese), son Scott and his wife Tammy (Ivester), son Michael and his wife Julie (Marcotte), and son Lyle and his wife Danielle (Remich); five grandchildren, Joshua Rauch and his wife Jennifer (Lillie), Jeffrey Rauch and his wife Milissa (Dragu), Jeremy Rauch, Andrea Rauch and Jessica Rauch.

Four great grandchildren: Bradley Rauch, Maisyn Rauch, Ryler Rauch, and Charlotte Rauch. Many nieces and nephews and beloved friends. Marlene will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
