Lillie Houston Obituary
Born in Havana, Florida, Lillie made Syracuse her home for over 70 years. She retired from Upstate Medical Center after 19 and a half years of dedicated service.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Levi Houston, in 1986; her son, Jeffrey Houston, in 2015; her daughter, Judyann Houston, in 2024; and her brothers, Walter Lee Mitchell and James Mitchell.
Lillie is survived by her children, Michael (Cynthia) Houston, Elaine (John) Houston Young, Timothy (Stacey) Houston, Beverly (Walter) Houston Walton, and Joanne Houston; her brother, Willie Mitchell; sisters, Ira Dean Cole, Annette Youman, Annie Lee Shingles; as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, October 14th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m., at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie Street, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
