Marlene was truly an amazing person. Her smile was contagious. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know her over the years. She loved big and would do anything for anyone. I will forever love and miss my friends . She trusted me with her price possessions, Landon and Chloe bug .

Bryce and Family,
Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet Marlene and I haven´t seen you since you were in elementary school. But, because your mother is one of my dearest friends, I am so very sad for you, your kids, and everyone else who loved Marlene and all those who love you and share your grief. I know your heart is broken and your world was turned upside down in a tragic instant. My prayer is that you will lean on God for the strength and courage to get through each day of this most difficult time of your life. You have a wonderful family and I´m sure many friends also who deeply care about you and will be there for you in your darkest moments. Lean on them and let them love you. No one can go through something like this alone. Be assured that there will come a day when your heart may still be hurting, but you will smile again. Always cling to your best memories of the time you had with Marlene.

The first thing I learned about Marlene was that she was easy to friend. When I met the Mckneely family she made it easy and comfortable and I felt as though we had things in common. I came over for dinner and she laughed because Bryce considered smoked sausages a full meal (I did too) but she assured me she was actually a good cook-which is the second thing I learned about Marlene. Blane was OBSESSED with her green enchiladas. In fact he teased her often he would help her so long as she paid him in enchiladas. When invited to our Easter bash, she asked what she should bring, and I jokingly told her 5 trays of enchiladas per Blane. She said she knew that´s what he´d say. On Easter she brought the hottest green salsa I´d ever eaten. My lips are still burning to this day. But it was delicious. Third and probably the most wonderful thing about Marlene is that she was such a loving and wonderful mother. Her kids are the absolute sweetest and so incredibly smart. She did an amazing job raising them and I know will continue to watch over them from Heaven. And of course Marlene was fun! I am so grateful to have sat with her at a recent wedding. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable. We laughed, we danced and had the best time. I am grateful for knowing her the short amount of time that I did and will miss her so much
