MARLOW FRANCIS BILLS
May 30, 1927 ˜ November 14, 2021
Marlow Francis Bills of Vancouver passed away Nov. 14, 2021. He was residing at Cascade Inn Assisted Living Community and passed at Ray Hickey Hospice House.
Marlow was born May 30, 1927, to Harvey Francis and Ione Gladys (Knudtson) Bills in Werner, ND. He came to Washington with his parents and two little sisters in approx 1934. He grew up in Yacolt area and graduated from Battle Ground HS. He entered into the Navy at age 19. In 1952 he met Margaret Patricia “Pat” Anderson and they married June 28 of the same year. They lived most of their lives in and around Vancouver.
Marlow worked in many different fields, such as logging and steel. He retired from Western Metal Industries.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters; Irene Varney and June Vanlaar; and two nephews Kenneth Northern and Dennis Bills.
Marlow is survived by two sisters, Helara Northern of Keizer, OR and Delores Smock of Clatkanie, OR; a brother, Rogers Bills of Albany, OR; five nieces, five nephews and many many cousins.
Marlow will be buried beside Pat at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Due to COVID, a private grave side service will be held at a later date.

Marlow was married to my cousin Pat. We became acquainted through Pat's sister Adella, who became interested in reconnecting with relatives. My brother Kenny and I spent many happy hours playing board games with Pat and Marlow when I came back for a visit. They were always generous in giving me a place to stay and buying me dinner whenever I flew into the Portland airport before driving on to the coast. I am sorry to have just discovered his passing and offer my condolences to those he leaves behind.

And he was at the rail
