Marquez Jayshawn Ebron, affectionately known as "Duke." age 27. of Stamford, CT, tragically passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Marquez was born on September 8, 1997, at Stamford Hospital to his loving mother, Saundra Ebron Carr, and his late father, Jimmy Louis. He was raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, where he attended Wilby High School. Becoming a well-known and beloved member of the community.
Marquez, with his joyful and energetic spirit, was truly a beam of light to those around him. His warm and affectionate personality made him a friend to all, always willing to give the shirt off his back and stand by others through thick and thin-even if it meant sleeping outside with them. He had a goofy and funny nature that could brighten any room, and his loyalty and encouragement were unmatched, always wanting to see everyone succeed. Duke's popularity was a testament to the love he poured into his relationships, and his presence brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his many talents and infectious personality, Marquez had a deep love for his faith and church. He found great joy and peace in his relationship with God, attending House of Prayer and Feed Me Ministry, making them central parts of his life. His love for the Lord led him to be baptized, an act that deepened his spiritual journey and strengthened his connection to his faith.
Beyond his magnetic personality, Marquez had a deep passion for music, film, and entertainment. He dedicated himself to his craft, collaborating with many talented individuals to hone not only his own skills but also to help others develop theirs. As the founder of Starmoon Films, he made his mark in the local entertainment scene, with his creativity and drive inspiring those who worked alongside him.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Camillia Nicole Ebron: his devoted sisters, Makailah Carr and Jalani Louis; and his brothers. Jamari Louis, Deandre Louis, James Jarrell Louis, Jordan Lopez-Louis, Ines Louis, Nygel Carr, and Deleon Jackson. He also leaves behind his cherished grandmother, Myrtha Bastien: his uncles, Travis C. Ebron and Avis T. Ebron; and his aunts, Zenobia A. Ebron, Latoya Burton, Dionne Mike, Melissa Isma, and Mickey Volmar, along with a host of extended family members and countless friends who will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Louis, his stepfather, Corey C. Carr, his grandmother, Dianne Ebron; and his loved ones, Tom Colangelo and Tina Ida Carr.
Marquez "Duke" Ebron will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of love, laughter, faith, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
