Marsha A. Carter
Marsha Ann Glasson Chitwood Carter, 84, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 1, 1939 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Edward Glasson and Lena Alma Barnett Glasson. She was a former textiles worker and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Mackey, Brenda Jo Moreno (Hector) all of Inman; son, Michael Wayne Chitwood of Inman; sister, Sus Dotson (Ronnie) of Cowpens; daughter-in-law, Amanda Chitwood of Spartanburg; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Bobby Chitwood, second husband Haskell Carter; son, Todd Chitwood; sisters, Reba Duncan, Faye Sprouse and a son-in-law, Mike Mackey.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau with Dr. David Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Point Baptist Church, 1390 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, SC 29349
