Marsha Minnix Coram Griffith, 70, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away peacefully late Thursday night, May 2, 2024, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EDT Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Alan Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.
Marsha was born April 30, 1954, in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Milton Ralph Minnix and Virginia Tomblin Minnix. She served as Jury Manager for the City of Columbus working for the Columbus Consolidated Government with 44 years of faithful and dedicated service. She loved gardening, tending to her beautiful flowers, yard activities, nature, and traveling. She was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan, enjoying each football season. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother recognizing the joy and love for all her family. She was a woman of great character, a Christian, and a Baptist by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Minnix.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kendall “Ken” Griffith, of Smiths Station, AL; son, Bubba Coram and wife Cindy of Phenix City, AL; her mother-in-law, who loved her as her own daughter, Margaret Wilson of Phenix City, AL; sister, Esther Radcliff of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Coutney Thomas and husband Bobby, Jeremy Parker, and Lauren Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Carlee and Becca Thomas; sister-in-law, Jan Minix; nieces, April Hinnant and husband Matthew and Niki McLain and husband Chad; nephews, Corey Hall and wife Nichole and Ben Minnix and wife Kim; great niece, Savanah Minnix; great nephew, Isacc Minnix; numerous other great nieces and nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
