Ms. Marsha Louise Smith, age 71 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away at Skyline Nursing Home on Friday, December 26, 2025. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on August 28, 1954, to the late Frank Smith and Betty Louise Morris Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tracy Smith. Marsha was a faithful member at The Gathering Place and dearly loved her church family. She enjoyed going to yard sales and estate sales. She will be remembered as a loving mother, caring grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
Left to cherish the memories of Marsha Louise Smith are her son, Jeremy Marx (Kim) of Colorado; two grandchildren, Christopher Marx and Sydney Marx; one sister, Lissa Reedy (Bart) of Douglasville, Georgia; and cousins, Johnny Boles of High Point, North Carolina, and Leann Boles of Raleigh, North Carolina.
A celebration of life service for Ms. Smith will be held on January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place (1254 Mill Creek Road, Critz, VA 24082) with Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Flowers, as well as contributions to the American Cancer Society and her church The Gathering Place, are welcome.
