Marsha Tucker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by CLOSED-Triplett & Wood Funeral Home - Rushville on Jan. 25, 2026.

Marsha Ann Tucker, 75, of Staunton, passed away peacefully at 9:39 am on Friday, January 23, 2026, at SSM Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born on October 14, 1950 in Alton, the daughter of the late Thomas & Alma (Rolston) Williamson. She married Orville Triplett in October of 1969 in Staunton and they later divorced. Marsha married Edward “Eddy” Tucker on November 18, 1996, in Carlinville and he survives.

Marsha worked various jobs throughout her life; as a medical stenographer at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton in the early 70’s and most notably, cleaning and assisting at Williamson Funeral Home in her later years, before poor health prohibited . Marsha loved watching her “shows” on television. Some of her favorite programs were Sanford & Son, Highway to Heaven, Roseanne, The Andy Griffith Show and most of all, Little House on the Prairie. Michael Landon was her favorite actor. She liked going to St. Michael’s Octoberfest every year. Marsha enjoyed holidays and especially decorating for Christmas. One of her favorite activities was to get in the car and drive around town, listening to her beloved 50’s & 60’s music on the radio. Marsha was kind and friendly to everyone she met. She loved her family and was always looking forward to when her children or grandchildren would visit.

In addition to her husband, Eddy, Marsha is survived by a daughter; Jodi (Aric) Lebro of Williamson, two sons; Christopher Triplett of Mendon, Illinois & Alex Adler of Staunton, seven grandchildren; Kayla, Aric Jr., Thomas, Sandra, Lara, Madison & Ferrel, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a sister in-law; Dorcas Williamson of Staunton and by a brother in-law; Carl Sawyers of Staunton. Besides her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by her brother, James “Red” Williamson and by a sister, Sandra Mae Williamson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30th, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Williamson Funeral Home of Staunton. Graveside services honoring Marsha’s life will be conducted at Memorial Park Cemetery of Staunton following the visitation. Memorial contributions in memory of Marsha are suggested to the family.
