Marshall V. DeGarmo, age 84 of Eagle River, WI passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at Tamarack Health Hospital in Ashland, WI. Marshall, a resident of Eagle River (formerly of Racine) was born June 24, 1940 in Racine, WI the son of the late Loren and Vesta (Shimmins) DeGarmo.
On May 28, 1960 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Judy (Bohmann) DeGarmo who preceded him in death on December 25, 2006.
Marshall was associated with, and a proud member, of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department in Racine, WI., retiring as lieutenant after 25 years of service and a lifetime of friendships. He also received his EMT certification during his service.
Marshall, an avid outdoorsman, truly loved and enjoyed everything the Northwoods nature had to offer; fishing (all seasons), hunting, snowmobiling, boating and logging his property. He also enjoyed all building and woodworking projects, camping travels to Florida and Alaska, but most of all, he loved the adventures and activities with family and friends at his home in Eagle River.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Theresa Rivers-Meyer (Kevin) of Racine, Sharon DeMuynck (Ray) of Kansasville and Marsha DeGarmo-Hmielewski (Ron) of Ashland; grandchildren, Kylie (Cody) Schrubbe, Aaron Meyer, Rose (Calvin) Johnson, Benjamin DeMuynck, Bridgett (Dave) Koval, Brittney (Calvin) Wiener, Zachary (Alyssa) Pagels, Dakota Hmielewski, Dominic Hmielewski; 15 great grandchildren and very special friend, Betty Loomis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, wife Judy; son-in-law, Gary Rivers; sister, Susan Brewer Havn; brothers-in-law, Robert Bohmann, Robert Brewer; and niece Debbie (Brewer) Kopf.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 12:00 - 3:00 pm at The TinCan Roadhouse, 20715 Durand Avenue, Union Grove, WI.
