Marshall Dunn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home - Peterstown on Feb. 16, 2026.
Marshall Lee Dunn, 76, of Peterstown, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 26, 1949, to the late Hunter Dunn Sr. and Janice Chambers Dunn.

Marshall was a lifelong resident of Peterstown who enjoyed the simple things in life. He liked spending time outdoors, gardening, going for walks, and driving the backroads. Woodworking had always been one of his favorite hobbies, with carving walking sticks being his latest project. He had a passion for history and reading and spent most days in his rocking chair on the front porch with a cup of coffee. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the 11th Armored Cavalry, serving from 1969 – 1972. Marshall's greatest joy was time spent with family.

Besides his parents, Marshall is preceded in death by his two sisters Delilah McGuire and Linda Roles. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Sheila; his two daughters, Jessica Jewell and husband Randy, and Susan Dunn and husband Brandon; five grandchildren, Cooper, Eli, Amelia, Ivy, and Max; and one brother Hunter and wife, Neta.

A graveside service for the family will be held at the Dunn Cemetery on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 12:00-1:00 pm at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home.

Online guestbook can be signed, or condolences may be sent to the family at www.broyles-shrewsbury.com. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV.
