Marshall Thomas "Tommy" Peden Jr.

Marshall Thomas “Tommy” Peden Jr., 63, formerly of Colonial Heights and a resident of The Virginia Home for the past five years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Born on July 19, 1962, Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Marshal Thomas Peden Sr. He enjoyed fishing and water-skiing. He is survived by his devoted mother, Patricia G. Peden; his sister, Debbie P. Holzner, and her husband Robbie; his brother, Robbie Peden; and his special aunt and uncle, Brenda and Dennis Harrup, numerous nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate and dedicated staff at The Virginia Home. Their care, kindness, and support over the past five years meant so much to Tommy and to those who loved him.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Billy Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
