Martha Aaron Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Austin/Round Rock on Sep. 30, 2024.
Martha Ann Aaron was born March 27, 1935, in Honesdale Pennsylvania to Floyd E Burrows and Ruth M (nee' Wood) Burrows. She grew up on a farm where she got her love of animals especially horses. It was this love of horses that she carried throughout her life. Most of her life she loved to ride horses and then in her later years she watched all the horse races.
Courtesy of her husband's Air Force career she lived in numerous places both in the U.S. and Europe, finally settling in Sacramento California. In Sacramento she was one of the first female executives for the California Almond Growers Exchange. She became a realtor then went into property management. Ten years prior to her retirement she was a paralegal for an attorney.
During her life she had many adventures. Whether it was island hopping in the pacific or traveling in Europe, camping in the Sierra's, deep sea fishing, boating on California lakes or the Sacramento Delta or going to hot air balloon festivals, she was open to anything new and exciting.
Upon her retirement she moved to Round Rock Texas to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. She became a member of St. William Catholic Church. She sang in the choir and volunteered for Adoration and participated in bible study.
She was proceeded in death by her husband William L. Aaron, Sr. and her son William L. Aaron, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters; Mary-Ruth Aaron and Rebecca C. Crownover (David Crownover), granddaughters; Sarah N. Hsia (Peter Hsia) and Charlotte A. Herrera (Coy Herrera), and her six great-grandchildren; Conner and Oliver Hsia: Sunnie, Abigail, Colin, and Gabriel Herrera.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The recitation of the rosary will be at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 3, at 10:00am at St. William Catholic Church.
