Martha J. Brusco

Martha J. (Gallagher) Brusco, 91, of Harrison City, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at her home. She was born on Sept. 26, 1930, in Cresson, to the late Charles A. and Nettie (Treml) Gallagher. Martha is survived by three daughters and two sons, Diane M. Turley, Debra A. Heddinger (Scott), Domenic J. Brusco Jr., Darlene M. Brusco and David A. Brusco; grandchildren, Tara Kurian (Aaron), Alexa Poore (Sean), Joshua Heddinger (Catherine), Mykael Landstorfer (Martina), Nicklaus Landstorfer and Anastasia Landstorfer (Jake Chappell); great-grandchildren, Joseph and Thomas Edward Kurian, and Vivianne and Vance Chappell; three sisters, Helen Amatucci (Frank), Carol Edwards (Charles) and Linda Gallagher; and brother, Buzzy Gallagher (Andie). She was preceded in death by her husband, Domenic J. Brusco Sr.; sisters, Betty Arbster (Frank) and Jennie Demengo (Ed); brothers, Stan Gallagher, Ray Gallagher (Patty) and Jerry Gallagher (Sue); and sons-in-law, Bob Turley and Alan A. Landstorfer. Being one of 11 children and the loving mother of five children, Martha enjoyed designing clothing and sewing for her family, friends and clients. She was an expert seamstress and loved creating new designs. Martha was also involved in several church and social groups including but not limited to St. Barbara's Ladies Guild, Young At Heart, and The Lionesses. Those that knew Martha and or saw her in the front rows on Sundays at St. Barbara Church, recognized her love for hats and her VW Bug-A-Boo. She will be missed by all and many. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, PA 15636, 724-744-2721. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, in St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, with Father Michael P. Sikon, officiating.
