Martha Marie Cella

Martha Marie Cella, age 103 one month from her 104th birthday died peacefully with her family present. Martha was born March 5, 1922 to the late Albert Altermatt and Catherine Hinkel. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School and was a sorority member at OSU. Soon after leaving OSU she became an office manager at Ohio Bell. She dated a bit until she met the love of her life, Walter A. Cella, an Aero Nautical Engineer at NAA.

They had four children, the late Julia Celle Crowley and the late Susan Cella Triplett, Christopher (Kathi) Cella and Stephen (Becky) Cella; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was a world traveler and excelled at playing bridge. Later in life she switched to rummikub. She enjoyed making crafts for the Twig Association at Children's Hospital. She also volunteered for Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

Family and friends may visit DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, OH 43147 from 9-9:45 on Saturday, February 28, with a funeral mass to follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147 at 10:00am. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
