Obituary published on Legacy.com by White-Sanders Funeral Home - Fisk on Jan. 2, 2026.
Martha Cozette Chamberlain died Tuesday morning, December 30, 2025 in Morristown, Tennessee at the age of 91. She moved to Tennessee on February 29, 2024 and was previously a long-time resident of Missouri, where she grew up. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elza Thomas Adams and Ruby Pauline Adams, 5 children, Joe and Birdie Adams (infants), Hester June Chamberlain, Elza Lloyd Adams, Ephraim Thomas Adams and granddaughter Amy Nicole Delcour of Dexter, Missouri.

Martha was born in Huntington, Tennessee on Mother's Day, May 13, 1934. She lived with her parents there until they moved to Missouri as share croppers on multiple farms. She graduated from East Prairie High School in Missouri in 1952. During her working years she also attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and held multiple insurance certifications. She worked at the Gatz Insurance Agency in Jonesboro for many years.

Although she never gave birth, she was mom, grandma and great-grandmother to dozens. Many of these have fond and precious memories of being read to (especially the Bible), playing dolls, making quilts and taking trips to the park. She is survived by two sisters, Elsie Pauline Dozier of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Lynda Dale Thompson of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and daughter Ordean Tonya Evans of Qulin, Missouri. Also remaining to help mourn and remember her fondly are 3 adult step-children, 5 grandchildren, over a dozen great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10AM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at White-Sanders Funeral home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Qulin Cemetery.
