Martha Parrish Critzer, 98, of Roanoke, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Custer Parrish; her brothers, David Parrish Sr. and Ronald Parrish; her sisters, Maryann Sallee and Hilda Price; and her son, Ashley Critzer.

Born and raised in Roanoke, Martha was a devoted long-time member of First Presbyterian Church of Roanoke. She had a passion for ballet and shared her love for the art through teaching and performing across local and regional stages. She also enjoyed a long and meaningful career with the Social Security Administration before retiring.

Martha is survived by her son, Mark Critzer (Karen); her grandson, Derek Critzer (Alishia DuBois); and many extended family members who will miss her dearly.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who helped Martha remain comfortably at home for as long as possible - especially Jenny Lee, Devona Napper, Jeneba Sulimani, and Judith Jarju. Their compassion and dedication meant the world to Martha and her family.

Thank you to Legacy Hospice and a special thanks also to Caroline Stanfill and the staff at Spirit's Rest. The care and comfort provided to Martha in her final moments were beyond measure, and the family will be forever grateful for the peace and support given during that time.

In honor of Martha's wishes, there will be no service or memorial. The family requests that charitable donations be made in Martha's memory to Spirit's Rest, either online at www.spiritsrest.org or by mail to Spirit's Rest, 1530 Porters Mountain Road, Blue Ridge, VA 24064.

Finally, the family extends their sincere thanks to all who have offered prayers, support, and love over the past few years - including family, extended family, friends, and co- workers. A special thank you to Mark's mother-in-law, Linda Stull and her sister, Judy Martin for their kindness and presence.
