Sister Regina was my 7th grade teacher at QAS. She was strict, fair and loved all her students. When I was a Chicago Police Officer I did a "premise check" at QAS and when I went inside I was greeted by the secretary who asked me if there was anything amiss. I said No" I had just come in to see if Mrs. Burchby was still teaching at QAS as she had been my 8th grade teacher. The secretary indicated she was still teaching 8th grade but her married name was Lambert. I thanked the secretary and just then Sister Regine, who was now the principal at QAS came out of her office, didn't see my name tag, and said to me "Oh Patrick you came back." I gave her a hug, thanked her for all her years as an educator and asked about Mrs. Lambert. Sister indicated Mrs. Lambert still had the same classroom, I thanked Sister and went to the room and said "Thank you" to Mrs. Lambert for everything she did for the 8th grade class at QAS. I was a 1961 graduate of QAS spent the next 4 years at Loyola Academy. Both of these women left fond memories of time spent with them.
Thank you Sister Regina.

She was a very great teacher and an inspiration to so many. She encouraged mu work at the Queen of All Saints newspaper. I have now been a published writer for more than 40 years. She taught us the songs from "The Sound of Music" too! And later she became an outstanding principal.--Joe Cunniff

Jeanne hired me to teach at Queen of All Saints in 1970. She was a nurturing mentor with vision who encouraged creativity and risk taking. I grew to be a better teacher in the culture she promoted. We continued our friendship after I left QAS for another position. I have so many happy memories of Jeanne and I will miss her. My sympathy to her family and friends along with my prayers.

Sister Regina was my favorite teacher. She was small and so energetic, even played baseball with the children on occasion. Prayers for her family.
