Martha Ellen (Parks) Davis of Stonewood passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 9, 2025. Born November 21, 1934 to Roy and Meryl Parks of Wyatt, Martha was one of seven children.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Jim Davis, son Jimmy and daughter in-law Brenda of Morgantown, grandson Zachary Davis and partner Emily Sutton of Morgantown, and granddaughter Madison Davis and fiancé Ryan Antonini also of Morgantown. Also surviving is one sister, Janice Ostwald of Fenton, MI, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Zoey.

Preceding Martha in death were her parents, brothers Glen and Charlie, sisters Doris, Linda, Wanda, and several beloved pets (Sam, Muffin, Molly 1, and Molly 2). Martha was a life-long devoted Christian and disciple of Christ. She was a member of long standing at Jewel City Church in Shinnston and the former Stonewall United Methodist Church in Stonewood.

Martha left home at an early age to work as a Nanny for the Schmidt family in the Northview section of Clarksburg. The Schmidt's were Martha's second family. She then worked at Hazel Atlas Glass before meeting and marrying Jim on November 14, 1962 in Winchester, Virginia. Martha gave birth to their only child in 1964 and was a wonderful stay-at-home Mother until 1972 when she went to work for Parsons Souders and later for the Harrison County School Board until retirement. In retirement, Martha enjoyed attending Church, working in her flower garden, enjoying time with her grandchildren,
feeding hummingbirds and baking sweets of all kinds.

As per Martha's wishes there will be no services and cremation services will be handled by Amos Carvelli Funeral Home in Nutter Fort.
