Such a beautiful lady inside out, I think I've known her all my life since I went to the Wesleyan Church as a child , she was a true blessing in my life and I know one day I will see her again. My prayers are with her family, I know it hurts to lose a mother but may the precious memories she made bless each of you. Love and prayers Lynn Arnold Smith

Mrs. Martha Evatt was a woman of God that made a lasting impact on our lives. During the early 70's we both worked with her in the college library. During our ministry in the SC District of the Wesleyan Church we served on district boards with Mrs. Evatt. She was always a blessing and an encouragement to us. We are so thankful for the honor to be a small part of her life. She made a difference! Our sympathy and prayers are extended to the entire Evatt family. Pastor Don and Gail Hurlburt, Randleman, NC.

Mrs. Evatt played an important role in my life. She was library director when I came to work just out of graduate school as her assistant at CWC. She was a mentor to me in our field of education. She was patient with me and gave me the benefit of her many years of experience as I grew in my work as a librarian. I held her in highest respect as a true Christian lady and as a friend. She will always be an example for me of a role model that I could emulate.

I worked for Martha in the library at SWU from 1985 until 1987. She taught me a lot during that time. She was very patient and kind.

I just loved Mrs. Evatt. I often spoke with her over the years at district events, and she always remembered me--even though I graduated from CWC/SWU in the 70's. Maybe because we were fellow librarians.

I was in Martha's Sunday School School class at Trinity for a few years. She was a wonderful teacher and a good friend. She had a way of bringing the lesson to life and making it interesting. I was also at Daniel when she was librarian there. We had many 'book talks' over the years. I have many fond memories of Martha. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
