Martha Emily (Relford) Gale, 89, of Pendleton, passed away January 28, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born September 29, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Alex and Audrey (Fisher) Relford and was a Pendleton resident most of her life.
Martha was a homemaker and farm wife over 54 years.
She was a 1944 graduate of Anderson High School.
Martha enjoyed solving puzzles, watching football, crocheting and knitting.
Survivors include her three daughters, Donna (George) Fosnot of Pendleton, Vicki (Joe) Clay-Eberhardt of Indianapolis and Bonnie (Antonio) Gale-Gonzalez of Anderson; eight grandsons, Andy Gale, John Clay II, Timothy Clay-Sayegh, Darius Flint, Robb Flint, Jr., David Flint, George V. Fosnot and Robert A. Fosnot; five great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Heiney of Titusville, Florida; former son-in-law, John Clay; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Gale; parents; and siblings, Rachel Heath, Robert Relford, Lee Relford, and Ethel O’Donnell.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Daniel Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Ovid, Indiana.
Visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
