Martha Ellen Hurtt

Mrs. Martha Ellen Hurtt, age 89 of Elkton, passed away 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at her residence. Services will be Saturday January 18, 2025 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Rev. Ron Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be Saturday January 18, 2025 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Martha was born in Todd County June 4, 1935. She was a homemaker and retired manager of Pioneer Savings and Loan. She was a member of the New Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Omer Lawson Laster and Katherine Rager Laster Bivins, her husband Michael Hurtt in 2016, her daughter Karen Yvonne Powell in 2009, and her sister Aline Renfro. Mrs. Martha loved her dog Yoda and watching game shows on TV. She is survived by her son Gregory Hurtt of Sharon Grove, KY, her sister Mary Wilhite and her husband Rev. Tommy of Sharon Grove, KY, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
