One of the great joys of my life was to live for about a year or so with Steve and Margaret Irons, along with three other young men, as a new disciple of Jesus Christ. I was around 27/28 years old. Steve helped me with practical guidance to prepare to some day have a wife and children. Invaluable counsel to which to this day, over 45 years later, I'm so grateful.
As for dear, precious Margaret, she was the first person from whom I sought godly counsel about the idea of me returning to law school. I had dropped out from law school about 2-3 years earlier. She encouraged me to take very practical steps to confirm this possible career path. Well, I've now been an attorney since 1983 and am currently licensed and practicing in CA, IA and for 6 years in Rhode Island.
I loved every minute of living with Steve and Margaret and I love God for putting me in their home for a time. I can't personally feel sad about her leaving this world, because I have no doubt whatsoever that is not only in a far better place, but that I and many others who loved her will once again be with her...and many other godly friends.
My wife, Carol, and I would have attended the memorial service, except we live in Iowa and it was not possible. God bless all those who think kindly of this dear woman, and who with us, are thankful to God for the joy of knowing her.

May God bless the memory of her. We are blessed to have known her in this life and look forward to the reunion one day with her and so many others. To God be all the glory.
